1. Will SCAATAP run on my Macintosh?

SCAATAP is currently designed for the Windows operating system only. While we may release a Mac version some time in the future, there are currently no plans to do so.

2. Will SCAATAP run on my PDA?

SCAATAP is currently designed for the Windows operating system only. While we may release a  version for popular PDA operating systems some time in the future, there are currently no plans to do so.

3. Can I enter more than one Standard or Topic per session?

Yes. With version 3.0, you may enter more than one standard or toppic per counseling session

4. Can I import student and teacher data from my school’s data management system?

SCAATAP has a very robust, user friendly import wizard that permits you to use the data from your school’s data management system. If the data can be exported in comma separated variable (.csv) format, SCAATAP will import the data and eliminate the need for you to manually input the data.

5. Can I use SCAATAP on more than one computer?

Yes, as long as you use it for your practice only. For example, you may install SCAATAP on your office computer and your home computer, or any other computer you have access to as long as you use it for recording your activities only. You may not make copies of SCAATAP for others, nor may you loan your copy to others for evaluation.

6. What if I find a bug?

As you may know, even with extensive beta-testing, software applications occasionally experience programming problems, commonly called “bugs”. We are committed to providing the best school counselor accountability software possible.  If you have a problem with SCAATAP, please send an e-mail to errors@scaatap.com with a complete description of the problem.  We will make every effort to resolve program problems in a timely and efficient manner.  We rely on our user community to help us make SCAATAP the best product available.

7. How do I make backups of my data?

SCAATAP makes an automatic backup of its database every time you close the application.  The three most recent backups are kept in the application folder in a folder called “Backup Files”.  See the program help file or user’s manual for details. You can and are encouraged to make your own backups.  Click here to see how to do this.
