DSK Software, Inc. now offers users an interactive helpdesk feature for troubleshooting problems with SCAATAP. If you have been invited to participate in a helpdesk session by an authorized SCAATAP help technician and have not yet installed the helpdesk application, click the link below.

Here’s what will happen.
1. You will see a dialog similar to this:

2. Click “Open” and you will see a downloading progress dialog similar to this:

3. When the application download is complete (may take several minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection), you will see a dialog similar to this:

4. Click “Yes” to start the installation procedure. Simply follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installation application. Don’t forget to restart your computer when the installation is complete.
5. When your computer has restarted, click the “Start” button in the lower left hand corner and find the newly installed “SCAATAP Helpdesk” application. Click to activate the application. This will display a dialog similar to this:

6. If you are in contact with an authorized service representative of DSK Software, Inc., you will be asked to provide the “Lock Code”, after which the service representative will provide you with a “Session Key”. Enter the “Session Key” and click “Submit. This will display a dialog similar to this:

7. If you agree to permit the DSK service representative to take control of your computer, click “Connect to Helpdesk”. This will display a dialog similar to:

8. Click OK”. This will display a dialog similar to:

9. Click OK”. This will display a dialog similar to:

10. Select the “support.scaatap.com” entry in the “Select an Address” window and click OK”. After a short time, an icon that looks like an “@” sign will appear in the system tray at the lower right hand corner of your computer:

 |
|
|
|
This icon signifies that the connection has been made or will be made shortly. Once the connection is established, the service representative will be able to view everything on your monitor and will have control of your mouse and keyboard. You will be able to watch what the service representative is doing, and will be able to direct the service representative to refrain from doing anything you consider to be outside the scope of the service session. When the session is complete, the service representative will right click on the connection icon in the system tray and select the option to terminate the session. This will prevent future access to your computer unless you activate the Helpdesk application again as outlined above.
